I had been working on succulent "bonsai" for several days, and soon had a lot of plants and no place to display them.  I started looking on the web for design ideas, but could not find anything I really liked, or felt would work for my situation.  So I decided to design my own.  After careful consideration I came up with a design that fit on my patio and would display my plants in a visual pleasing way.  Your design may be different than mine depending on your space, plants etc.,however this design was perfect for me.
The overall length of the main table is 99" and the width is 34".  I used full 8 foot 2x4's for the frame length.  There is also a 2x4 support running down the middle of the main table.  The height of the main table is 33" which affords optimal viewing of the plants.  As you can see in the photos I also added two side tables at lower height for some larger specimens.  On the main table I also added a riser to give a better view to plants towards the back of the bench.  The bench is built out of redwood.  It took less than 3 hours to build, however I had purchased all materials beforehand, and had good tools at my disposal such as nail guns and a table saw. Hope this will inspire someone to adapt and improve on this design.  Good luck!
